Kelley da Paz

Executive Director

My name is Kelley da Paz and I am a certified ESL teacher.  I have a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), both from The University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

I love to travel!  I've taught English in both Taiwan and South Korea.  I've also visited Vietnam, Thailand, Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and Argentina.  So, although I'm not fluent in any language other than English, I do know a little Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese.  I also love to learn foreign languages.  So maybe while I'm teaching you English, you can teach me a little about your home language and culture!

I have 2 daughters and live in Hoover, AL.  I can truly say that teaching English to people from other countries is my passion!  I believe God has ignited this passion in me, and I would love the opportunity to work with you!

I have been involved in charity and different local organizations working as an ESL teacher, DJ, Zumba Instructor, Interpreter and translator of documents for different companies.

Melissa Danen

Spanish Teacher

Hello! My name is Melissa Danen. I was born and raised in the state of Baja California in Mexico, which is why Spanish is my first language.

I have a B.A. in International Business from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California in Tijuana, Mexico.  I have been living in the state of Alabama since 2009, where I have worked as a Spanish Interpreter and Translator.

I love traveling and learning new languages. I speak a little German and understand some Italian; I would like to become fluent in both German and Italian in the near future.  I love teaching Spanish because I see the importance of helping others learn another language, and it may bring many opportunities on both a professional and personal level. It will also help you communicate with others in this culturally diverse country, as well as with people that live abroad.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Josh Crocker

Hello! My name is Aaron-Joshua Crocker, but I go by Josh. I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a B.A. in Spanish. I have worked with Montevallo High School for the past two years in their ESL program. I love the Spanish language, culture and everything that goes with it. I have traveled to Guatemala two times and Colombia once, but rest assured I am not done traveling Latin America. I love to travel and am always striving to learn more. I hope that my teaching style, enthusiasm and love for the language and culture will engage and encourage others to also love the Spanish language and all that comes with it! I look forward to working with you!
